Cleveland has:
* Exciting museums, a few with hands-on exhibits from Art, to Science, to Auto-Aviation, to History, to Children's, to Inventors, to Rock and Roll!
* SEVERAL professional sports teams with loyal, die-hard fans and awesome arenas to play in.
* Performing Arts, including an internationally-acclaimed opera and orchestra.
There's also dinner theater, comedy clubs, concert halls, and playhouses where incredible performances by some of the finest performers take place daily!
* We have so much NATURAL recreation. Gardens, a huge park system, waterfalls, rivers, farms. And so much to do on the lake. Seriously, the LAKE!
* Not to mention all of the other amusements like horse racing, dog racing, skiing, wineries, golf courses, architecture, street concerts, festivals, and markets - we've got it all!
* Cleveland has TONS of indoor amusements. The shopping! Hellooooo! We have indoor and outdoor shopping... From outlet malls to antique stores, to funky little shops that sell a little of everything.
* There's also indoor recreation: water fun, golf, laser tag, arcades for adults, the night clubs, the bars.
* And the food! Visit all of the little hot spots around the area and you will literally be amazed that you can have food from ALL OVER THE WORLD in less than a 30 minute drive!
But what *really* makes Cleveland so great is CLEVELANDERS.
If you want to meet real people who are talented, nice, down-to-Earth, and FUN... come to Cleveland. You'll see so much humanity in this great city.
Yes, we get snow... lake effect. Yes, it's a large city so there's sometimes heavy traffic on the highways.
And yes, we've had a few leaders who squandered our city's money... BUT Cleveland, even with all of its bad press (sometimes deserved, mostly not), still has so MANY things to do!
And that's what this website is all about. Things to do in Cleveland, Ohio... The city that I love so much.
Many Clevelanders don't take advantage of all the things to do in Cleveland. How can anyone ever say that they are bored? You can't be bored in Cleveland Ohio... you can only be lazy (or broke).
So this blog is for you, Dear Traveler, someone who wants an interesting, inexpensive, and entertaining vacation. I'll show you the hot spots, the cool spots, the fun spots.
I'll share ideas with you on how you can save money on your Cleveland vacation and see all of the interesting things that this great town has for you to enjoy. :-)
And this blog is for you, Dear Clevelander, who doesn't know what's happening in your own backyard. It's okay. I didn't either. It's like you never really appreciate what you have because it's right there, right in front of you. To you I say "Rediscover your city!" You'll be glad you did. Please help me share all the cool things to do in Cleveland as you discover them.
