Three years ago, I met Dion Harris, the now well-known photographer from Cleveland Ohio, through another user on Myspace. I needed some pictures and when I took a look at his albums I was immediately impressed with his style of photography. I'm so happy that I know him. :-) After looking through his work, I knew exactly what I wanted -- a few professional pics and a few "hot" pics for myself.

See, Dion has a lot of model portfolio pictures in his albums. And these women and men look amazing! He captures them and their surroundings in a way that makes the pictures really come alive. I wanted some of that.

When Dion called me to set up my photo shoot, he asked a lot of questions about what I wanted. You could tell that he really cared about making sure that I got the perfect pictures. He was polite and genuine, which made me feel comfortable... and he even has a little bit of a sense of humor. (Don't tell him I told you that. )

Let's just say that from that first phone conversation, we formed a working-relationship... and from there, a wonderful friendship blossomed.

My shoot went great. Dion was very professional, but in a down-to-earth way. For someone who has never had a photo shoot before, being in front of the camera can feel a little weird. That's the way I felt at first having never "modeled". But Dion made me feel relaxed. I like that he talks to you while you're taking the pictures, coaching you along to bring out the real you.

We had conversations about what kind of shot he was going for, and he listened to my suggestions about what I wanted. I had a lot of fun during the shoot.

While going through the pics later, I found out that Dion also did a lot of shooting around the city. He sees beauty where others don't, and then translates it into art. I looked at his pictures and immediately asked him if I could use some of his photos on this site. Dion agreed, and I'm so thankful to him. Almost all of the photos on Things-to-do-in-Cleveland.com are compliments of Dion Harris, Photographer Cleveland Ohio (back when he first started).

There are so many great things about Dion's work that I'll just let you see that for yourself. But let me tell you something about Dion as a person. Dion loves what he does. He's not someone who just has a "photography gig". He takes what he does seriously, he works hard at it, and he cares about providing excellent service to his clients.
