Fisher Karate
BRANDON FISHER For Renshi Brandon Fisher, owner of Fisher Karate, Martial Arts is not just a tool for self-defense; it’s a lifestyle.
Brandon was born with a rare visual impairment that left him completely blind. Although the pinched nerve which caused the impairment was relieved when he was three years old, he is still considered legally blind to this day. Did that stop him from achieving his goals? Absolutely not. When he was seven years old, Brandon’s parents enrolled him in Karate classes. At that young age, Brandon began a life quest that would lead him to help many people, as well as to improve himself. The 6th degree black belt has won competitions all over the midwest and been teaching students since 1994. While Karate was created for life preservation, Brandon tries to make better people, not simply "fighters". ABOUT FISHER FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS CENTER Renshi Brandon, along with his wife Sensei Stephanie, opened Fisher Family Martial Arts Center in October 2006. The Dojo is located on Broadway Ave. in Oakwood, in the shopping plaza between Sam's Club and Levin Furniture.
Due to Brandon's belief in the value of Martials Arts as a way of living his goal has been to make the classes affordable for families and individuals. The Fisher's assist all of their students in setting and achieving personal goals in a clean, safe, and growth-supporting environment. You can even attend a free class to see if it will be a good fit for you or your child. Renshi Brandon and Sensei Stephanie aim to be “examples” for their students. They have high expectations and hold themselves to an even higher standard. They work with students ages 3 to adult, including those with developmental or physical disabilities. Teaching 15-20 classes per week, Brandon and Stephanie combine their varied styles of training and leadership to help ALL of their students become better human beings. Brandon’s passion and knowledge shine through as he talks about the work he does. He believes that Karate forges the spirit and builds focus.
Brandon's Mom and Dad lend a helping hand part-time to make this a real family affair.
